At Two Rivers Gallery we have two main galleries called Canfor North & Canfor South. Exhibitions change about every 12 weeks or so. We also have the Rustad Galleria where we highlight local & regional artists and there are approximately 10 exhibitions a year.

Next Thursday, May 22nd, there is an Opening Reception at the Gallery. Opening receptions are sometimes called Private Views. Private views are primarily for a selling gallery’s clients to PREview, and possibly, buy the work before the public is allowed to see it. At Two Rivers Gallery the artwork is not for sale so we call these events Opening Receptions.

The main purpose of the reception is to celebrate the opening of new exhibitions. These are not formal receptions but relaxed social affairs where they are free, always have food and drink, and everyone is welcome. The artists are present and usually give a short talk about their work. It is a great opportunity to meet the artist, hear the talk, ask questions, see the new work and meet up, or make new, friends.

So next Thursday, Come to the Gallery and hear Jerome Fortin from Montreal talk about his new work called Constellations and meet Judith DesBrisay who is a regional artist who will be happy to talk about her paintings. 7.30 May 22nd. See you then!!!
