Creative Thursday

Next Thursday evening Two Rivers Gallery will be bursting with creative energy.

In the Rustad Galleria a new exhibition of paintings by Vanderhoof based artist Elizabeth Miller called Landscapes of a Lifetime. The opening reception also embraces the concept of landscape in another manner through the voices of the Cantata singers. The performance begins at 7.

At 7.40 or so, painter Judith DesBrisay will talk about her work entitled geographies. Judith is one of this region’s finest abstract landscape painters and she will be talking about what inspires her to paint as she does - like her connection to her home and her travels and work in the Arctic, Ant-Arctic and South America

.
At 8.30 join Elizabeth Miller as she talks about her landscape painting and how her travels over time have influenced her work.

It will be a most interesting evening as we have two painters, both travellers and both inspired to paint by the landscape with each completely different outcomes. Elizabeth paints in a realistic manner whereas Judith’s paintings are abstracted and symbolic in nature.
