Gary Pearson, grew up in Prince George and had his first solo
exhibition in 1981 at the old gallery. This project revisits the
artist’s paintings and video-based work more than twenty years later.
One Way Ticket explores themes of voyeurism, displacement, searching,
desire, melancholy and isolation in relation to the experience of
living in contemporary society, that are common to a much of his work.
The exhibition, while not a retrospective, draws on work from the last
decade.
