High Places and Sacred Mountains: Trevor Lloyd Jones
13 January - 19 March
Reception and talk 12 January
?
"Mountains inspire awe, fear, worship and many other reactions, but rarely indifference."
?- Trevor Lloyd Jones

McBride artist Trevor Lloyd Jones is known for his landscape paintings, particularly those of mountains from his home in the Robson valley. This exhibition of recent work stems from his long-term interest in mountains, but also draws on the experience of recent travels in Australia. The paintings in this exhibition combine imagery from the Robson valley, the Canadian Rockies and Australia as he explores the association of high places with sacred spaces. Through this work he seeks to express more than a series of topographies, but also this intangible quality, placing "mountain imagery within a context of primal human significance".
